Two teams played this weekend and we had outstanding results!
11 RED
After several weeks between tournaments, and practices filled with ball handling, purposeful movements, and utilizing 3 contacts as often as possible, we found ourselves #PlayingUp in a U-12 event in Fond Du Lac. We started the morning very strong and won our pool placing us in the gold bracket. This was our 3rd straight gold bracket finish, and our 2nd in a 12’s event. We ended up falling to a very talented team, which had a few girls that towered over ours. Despite the challenge, we played well and received a lot of positive feedback from opposing coaches and parents about how well our girls did during the day.
The girls’ willingness to accept detail-oriented instruction and embracing high expectations have paid off and the coaches are confident in their ability to keep improving. It has also been a blast seeing the girls become more friendly, goofy, and supportive towards each other.
#Shoutout We’d also like to thank the incredible support of our parents as their daughters learn a challenging game where growth comes in bits and pieces. These bits and pieces add up to large gains as a team.
17 RED
The 17's take home their first GOLD MEDAL! They won in Green Bay and went undefeated! Coach Wienkes and Luedtke are proud of the improvements with communication and confidence! This team has benign playing in 17/18 tournaments so far and this was their first true 17's tournament. Very exciting to see how they match up with other Juniors around Wisconsin!
