We head into the final weekend of the Badger Region Power League! For some of our teams this will be their last weekend of club volleyball :(
13 RED
The 13’s Red team finished off their last weekend in the Badger Region Power League. After three weekends playing teams in the 14’s division, they finished in 4th place out of 18 teams!!! They were really challenged this weekend and were really pushed to elevate their play to keep up with some strong 14’s teams.
#Shoutout to Delaney for consistently making improvements all season and seeing those results this weekend!
#Shoutout to Nora for being an incredibly positive teammate all weekend when we were facing challenges!

This tournament brought us to the 3rd and final weekend of the Power League. We came into Saturday with a good enough record to have a chance at playing in the gold bracket. We needed to finish second in our pool of three. Our first match was against the eventual League champion. We started out slow in the first set but gained some confidence and took them to a 23-25 loss in set 2. With some good momentum we faced a team that had beaten us in a tournament earlier this season. We fought hard and earned our spot in Gold with 25-19 & 25-23 wins!
Sunday, making Gold, put us up against the best of the league teams. We played respectable ball against them all, but couldn't find the magic needed to win. In the end we took 6th out of 18 teams. I'm very proud of how the girls played in the league during the season. We never once lost to a team that finished below us, only losing to the 1st-5th place teams. We've shown steady improvement, despite some injuries and a few of the girls taking on different roles throughout the past few months.

16 White played in the Badger Region Power League at the Champions Center in Appleton, Wisconsin. Heading into the teams final tournament of the season, the team was raring to finish off the season on a high note. The girls were also excited that they were able to have at least one overnight trip during this chaotic season. For both Saturday and Sunday, we had the early morning wave of games starting at 7:30am.
All three of our games went to three sets and were great battles to show the team's grit to lengthen the game to get the win. We ended the first day of games 1-2 and went back to the hotel to relax and prepare for tomorrow's games. The second day was similar to the first day in the case that we went to three sets in all of our games. We ended the tournament on a bittersweet note, but we could not have been more proud of how this team played all season long. All of the girls grew by leaps and bounds, and people should be wary of them next year. Each of them have the potential to be dominant volleyball players to challenge anyone, if they put their minds to it and work hard in the offseason.

The 16 Black team travelled up to the Champions Center in Appleton last weekend to compete in the final round of Power League. We played extremely well on Saturday and really pushed ourselves to be aggressive and the results were fantastic! We again played some of the highest level VB of the season, hitting on all cylinders and getting everyone involved. Even in the 13-15 3rd game loss to Impact we played extremely well and were very happy with the day. Our play pushed us up into the gold bracket on Sunday. Sunday our play was very good at times, and we learned a lot about how to overcome challenges – both from playing as well as mental challenges. The team really pulled together to win the final match and finish 7th overall. Scott and I mentioned how much we had improved from the first round to now. Every player really improved and should be extremely proud of how har they’ve come. Shoutout to Molly who played multiple positions (including outside when Grace rolled her ankle) and did a fantastic job! Shoutout to both the Maddie’s for their fantastic level of error free play! We are very happy with the progress this season and can’t wait for our last chance to compete coming up in a couple weeks!

This was our last tournament and we went out with a bang. Won 4/5 games and won our bracket. This was by far our best tourney of the year. We fought hard and played solid volleyball the whole weekend.

The final Badger Power League weekend! This team has been tested in so many ways and they are an exciting group of athletes to watch. Starting the week with 8 players and ending with 6 allowed players to try new positions and become a more well rounded volleyball player. Even though we finished 1-5 for the weekend they team managed to stay competitive against some very strong teams. Our last match of the day we got to go 6 on 6 and that was a good match against Impact! Back to work in the gym to get this team ready for our post-season run to Nationals!
#Shoutout to Kelsey and Ella for running a 4-2 and setting out of the middle. It's not everyday you get to be a middle blocker and then turn and set the ball!
We also tested our luck on the quarter machine!
18 RED
This weekend 18 Red had their final weekend of Badger Power League. We started Saturday morning with a forfeit victory and immediately followed it up with a hard-fought three set victory over a team that had swept us earlier in the season. The girls played the sharpest defense I've seen all season - from blocking to covering to passing and serve receive. The last match of the day was against a very competitive Premier team and we lost in 2 close sets, playing hard the entire way. Both of Sunday's pool play matches went to three sets, where we won one and lost one. Our service pressure and outright effort kept us competitive in both of these sets as well as the crossover match, which was a loss. Overall, I'm thrilled with the team's performance this weekend. The girls played (and sustained) the highest-level volleyball I've seen this season into the toughest competition we've seen all season. We have one tournament left and I'm excited for the opportunity for this team to continue to build on the huge strides that were made over the weekend.
